Fraud & Impersonation Warning

Criminals and unauthorized intermediaries may imitate government or consular offices. Use the checks below before sending documents, following payment instructions, or acting on a message that claims to come from the Honorary Consulate of Liberia in The Gambia.

Passport enrollment and printing are not available at the Consulate in The Gambia. Begin a Liberian passport application only through the official national passport process linked from this website, and complete biometric enrollment only at an authorized passport center.

Protect yourself

Check the website address carefully before entering personal information.
Use the passport link on the Passport Services page rather than relying on a link forwarded by an unknown person.
Do not give anyone your password, one-time security code, or account recovery code.
Do not send passport scans, identity documents, or banking information in response to an unsolicited message.
Do not make a payment to a personal account or informal intermediary based only on a message claiming to represent the Consulate. Verify any payment instruction through a published official contact channel.
Be cautious of promises of guaranteed visas, passports, appointments, approvals, or unusually fast processing in exchange for extra payment.

Verify a suspicious message

If you receive a suspicious email, call or message, do not use the contact details contained in that message to verify it. Instead, use the contact information independently published on this website: info@liberiahonoraryconsulate.gm or +220 835051600.

If you report suspected fraud, provide the sender address or telephone number, the date and time, and a description or screenshot where safe to do so. Do not forward passwords, security codes, or unnecessary identity documents.

Final production domain

This website is currently being prepared for migration from its development domain to an approved production domain. The anti-fraud notice should be updated at launch to identify the final approved domain explicitly and to list any official email-domain format authorized by the Consulate.
