Terms of Use
Effective date: 29 August 2026
Purpose of the website
The website provides public information about the Consulate, available consular guidance, contact channels, and news or announcements. It is not a substitute for an official decision or instruction issued by a competent Liberian authority or, where relevant, a competent authority in The Gambia.
Passport applications
Passport enrollment and printing are not available at this office. Applicants must use the official national passport application process and complete biometric enrollment at an authorized passport center. The website links to the Official Liberia passport portal at liberiapassports.com.
The national passport portal is a separate service. Its instructions, privacy practices, payment arrangements, service availability, and technical operation are governed by the responsible passport authority and the portal’s own terms.
Accuracy and changes
The Consulate aims to publish accurate, useful information, but consular requirements, government policies, fees, processing arrangements, entry rules, and service availability may change. Users should follow current instructions from the competent authority and verify time-sensitive requirements before travel, payment, or submission of documents.
Where website information conflicts with a current instruction issued by the competent government authority, the current official instruction takes precedence.
No private legal or immigration representation
Unless expressly stated otherwise by an authorized official, information on this website is general consular information. It does not create a lawyer-client relationship and does not constitute private legal representation, private immigration representation, or a guarantee of any application outcome.
External links and embedded services
The website may link to Government of Liberia services and other third-party resources, or display third-party media. A link does not make the Consulate responsible for the security, availability, accessibility, content, or data practices of an external service. Users should confirm that they are on the expected destination before entering personal or payment information.
Acceptable use
You must not use the website to:
- attempt unauthorized access to administrative accounts, systems, or data;
- introduce malicious code, disrupt service, or conduct abusive automated activity;
- impersonate the Consulate, its officers, or another government authority;
- misrepresent website content as an authorization, approval, or official decision when it is not one;
- use Consulate branding or content in a deceptive or fraudulent way.
Intellectual property and official materials
Government emblems, flags, seals, photographs, text, and other materials may be protected by applicable law or by rights belonging to the Republic of Liberia, the Consulate, licensors, or other rights holders. Website access does not grant permission to use official symbols or content in a way that implies endorsement or official status.
Availability and responsibility
The website may be unavailable from time to time because of maintenance, security events, network conditions, or circumstances outside the Consulate’s control. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude an obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded, to alter any official consular duty, or to waive any privilege, immunity, protection, or status that may apply under applicable law.
Privacy
Use of personal information connected with this website is addressed in the Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.
